“I try to encourage my clients and team to think big,” says Chris, a project manager in SmithGroup’s Phoenix office. “You have one shot to make an impact, so be firm and meaningful with every decision.” He also believes that the best decisions come from the blending of talented people with unique sets of skills. “I believe in the power of the team,” he adds. “When everyone owns their own portion of a project, it enables each team member to push themselves beyond their normal abilities.” Chris grew up in San Diego, and originally settled in the Phoenix area to attend the University of Arizona. It’s a great place to pursue his outdoor interests, which include golf, mountain biking, and fly fishing. “A bucket list item of mine is one day travel to Scotland for the British Open and a little fly fishing with my two boys,” says Chris.
