As director of Construction Administration for the Detroit office, Terry oversees shop drawings, submittals, construction administration and field representation. With more than 35 years of experience inside SmithGroupJJR, he is just the guy to manage the details of preparing contract documents, negotiating contractor claims, and providing construction administration and field representation services for any of the firm's projects. "I like to think of myself as a problem solver," he says. "I get excited when I am able to contribute to solutions". He has worked on a wide range of facilities, from office and educational buildings, to medical complexes, research laboratories, industrial plants and power-house additions. Even we didn't know that Terry admires the unusual and eclectic works of architects like Bruce Goff and Antonio Gaudi. When not poring over important documents, he enjoys spending a day on the lake with his grandchildren.

In 2012, Terry was part of a team of professionals that volunteered time and resources to design and construct a 9/11 memorial obelisk in Janesville, Wisconsin. The monument holds a beam from the World Trade Center and was erected in Firehouse Park in the city's downtown district. The sculpture commemorates those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
