As the urban design studio leader at the Chicago office, Paul focuses on planning and site development projects for the firm's Urban Design and Higher Education practices. He is one of the firm’s go-to guys for collegiate athletics/recreation and community recreation projects and has led a wide range of master planning and implementation projects for college campuses, ranging from NCAA athletic complexes to iconic campus open spaces. Paul has always liked to build, and grew up thinking he would be a carpenter, then later, an architect. "But during my first year of study, I was introduced to landscape architecture," he explains. "The synergy between design, nature and ecology attracted me to the profession." Paul’s hobbies are gardening in the day—hot peppers are his favorite—and astronomy during the night.
