For years the University of Toledo had sustained three footprints, all distinct in the aesthetic and function. The health science campus, the Bancroft campus, and the Scott Park campus were disconnected.

Through extensive research our team found that the university had more space than needed. The 30-month master planning process was inclusive and transparent, involving campus leaders, students, faculty, staff and community members to participate in multiple workshops, open houses, presentations and online forums. Our team also assisted the university in facilitating an online town hall to provide web access to planning materials and encourage interactive discussions among stakeholders.

...[An] incredible job...communicating details throughout the campus community [and] establishing transparency and credibility among...stakeholders.

Christine Wasserman
Executive Communications Manager

We set forth a design plan to enhance the campus flow, by relocating the assets in the Scott Park campus (parking, athletics, and office space) to the Bancroft campus. The master planning process shifted the priorities of university leadership toward cultivating their core strengths—Engineering, STEM, Business and the Health Sciences.

The new cohesive campus arrangement is fluid, functional, and supportive of its overall mission, securing its future as an integrated and efficient institution.
